Is it a exempted service or not under service tax act?

Service tax is levied on it or not?

13 March 2015 if your server is located in india and providing servcies outside india through web then yes registraion is required.

19 March 2015 If we made a software in India for exporting outside India than service tax is charged on it or not.?
If yes, than how we can avoid this liability.? Is there any exemption regarding this.??

19 March 2015 if u are making software and putting it on a cd etc in any storage device then it will a packaged software and hence it will be sale of product and no service tax shall be applixcable as it will be export of product

in case if ur making only software as per customer requirement then service tax is applicable on reverse charge mechanism.
