11 February 2010 What is the major professional qualification required to become a tax consultant in india?

is it the Chartered Accountancy?

or is there some other programme?

11 February 2010 For becoming tax consultant no need for professional qualification, if your degree and have knowledge its enough.CA need for signing tax audits, for that you should be CA..best of luck

11 February 2010 i think advocate may become tex consultant but for regarding sing in tax-audit report it should be CA.
