What is the major professional qualification required to become a tax consultant in india?
is it the Chartered Accountancy?

For becoming tax consultant no need for professional qualification, if your degree and have knowledge its enough.CA need for signing tax audits, for that you should be CA..best of luck

i think advocate may become tex consultant but for regarding sing in tax-audit report it should be CA.
