Problem in e filing in New Income tax Portal

26 September 2021 In ITR 2, validation was successful, but on next
screen for Verification and submit, it shows one error
relating to Sch VIA that under TTA interest should be
restricted to SB account interest included in total
income. I have shown same Savings interest as included in
total income and system has already restricted to
10000/- But error still remains. As a result I can not submit and file ITR2. I have submitted grievance with all screen shots, but no resolution is forthcoming even after lapse of a fortnight. Please advise if there is any solution.

26 September 2021 If your total S/B interest is more than 10K, fill Rs. 10,000/- in Sch VIA that under TTA interest, and in questionnaire, under 80TTA column.

26 September 2021 Sir, followed your suggestion, total s.b interest 14251, filled that in Schedule Income from other sources under interest from S B, and 10000/- in schedule VI as well as in questionnaire under 80TTA, but Result is same. Can not understand. Moreover validation does not show any error, it says validation successful, no error found, but while verification, this error appears.

26 September 2021 Now download latest utility release on 'Date of JSON Utility release 25-Sep-2021' & process the return. It will get uploaded..

28 September 2021 The new utility is downloaded and installed. How to link it with the partially filled (on line mode) data in previous version of utility?

Choose first option 'Download Pre-filled data' & proceed as directed...

29 September 2021 Tried as suggested by you. but the old data entered in on line mode is not getting reflected in the new version. hence only option is to restart filling in data afresh as no option of continue in online mode. In previous version unnecessary edits are coming regarding quarterly break up of of income from lottery etc, while there is no income from the same, thereby preventing submission of return and filing the same. Really at a loss how to proceed further. Will really appreciate for solution.

29 September 2021 Fill the data fresh with latest utility. It has least defects. Easy to save, and rectify. Good Luck..
