13 May 2016 Sir, i am an ca ipcc who have completed my article ship, i have passed my ca ipcc in 6 th attempt due to lack of concentration now i have realised from my past experiences and now i want recover the time and career wasted by me. so, i want to secure a rank in ca -final. can i secure a rank with out coaching. plz suggested me the self study books ca final. and i want to give attempt in may 2017 / nov 2017. and plz help which fields i have to improve for getting an employement in reputed firms/body corporates

13 May 2016 Good to see that after introspection of your failures, you intend to take corrective steps and also aiming for a rank, which is highly commendable. I wish you good luck for your endeavor.

You query had laid out your future plans as well. Let me tell, target or achieve one thing at a time, other things will follow suit. On the job aspect, don't worry now itself if you are financially sound. Later once you succeed in your Final examination, opportunities will knock at you.

There is nothing called as waste, it has indeed provided you more fodder to know your mistakes and it is a rich source of experience. There are many instances wherein candidates have secured rank without attending classes. Some others who secure rank do narrate in their videos or articles that they attended classes to gain thorough conceptual clarity. Classes will just give you little more discipline to follow a routine and sharing knowledge and tips from peers and the teachers. If you don’t need any coaching you can still reach your goal. It is at the end of the day the smart work, dedication, discipline, patience, perseverance etc., which are the likely attributes for your success.

If you are a keen follower of CCI, you will come across many students asking queries on which book is ideal for self-preparation. Many students, seniors and experts give their views. Similarly, you will have your own set of authors or books which you wish to study from. Pick the books based on the feedback and your likings and follow them religiously so as to score exemplary marks.

Remove apprehensions regarding employment for now and focus on your goal to achieve a rank in your CA final examination. All the very best for your future.
