11 June 2014 I am in my first year of articleship and currently in a well knowned internal audit firm. I am thinking to practice on my own in future.Kindly let me know what things should i do or how do i take advantage of articleship period for my practice?

12 June 2014 1. focus on articleship. try to learn as much as you can regarding how the audits are planned and executed.

2. dont restrict yourself to the work itself. observe how your seniors/partners approach and maintain relationship with clients

3. see how billing is done because at the end of the day, its all revenue that matters!

4. dont shy away from long working hours at the least

12 June 2014 But dont you think its comparatively difficult if I want to open my own firm?
I mean isnt it difficult to get clients?
Coz we will have to break the clients of our employer as well right?
