Penalty on revising tds return

This query is : Resolved

28 August 2013 If assessee(deductor) had filed his original return on time but due to some clerical mistake TDS of a deductee was not deducted and in turn not paid and hence, not shown in the respective TDS return.

But now, the assessee has paid the due TDS along with late payment interest and he wants to revise the TDS return showing this new deductee in it.

Will any penalty be imposed for this error?
