if any one not filling return for three half year then penalty will be Rs.2000 or Rs.6000(as per Rs.2000 half year)

23 February 2009 Late filing fee is charged separately for each half yearly return. The quantum is related to the period of delay ranging from Rs 500/- to Rs 2000/-per return. For details refer Rule 7C of service Tax Rules,1994 in www.servicetax.gov.in.
