please guide me about rate of interest and penalty on late filling on service tax on transport by road ( steel products - resale materials ) for f.y. - 2009-10.it is necessary to file six month report, also last date of filling the return???

Rate of Interest is 13% per annum to be calculated only for the number of days dealy.
Penalty for late filing of return ranges fron Rs.500/- to Rs.2000/- per return depending on the period of delay.

Last date of filing for half yearly return is 25Th of the next month. For April to Sept due date for filing return was 25th October
