PENALTY FOR NON INFORMATION OF BRANCH OFFICE

SIR ONE OF OUR CLIENT HAS OPENED A BRANCH IN DELHI BUT HE HAS NOT INTIMATED TO THE DEPARTMENT REGARDING THE BRANCH. WHAT IS THE AMOUNT OF PENALTY IN THIS CASE ?

mere opening of branch does not mean any penalty,
if the assesee has done purchase and sales from that branch, without getting it aended in vat RC, then such branch unit would be considered in default, and department will not allow any input credit on such company.

sir the client has done purchase and sale also at that branch.Is there any penalty also apart from not allowing input credit.

yes ,if the turnover crosses the threshold limit as per delhi VAT.
