Partnership firm registration

05 June 2011 One of my colleague who wish to launch a website for some products(business) online only, wish to form a partnership firm in his name and his brother name......
Income will be mainly from Advertisements on websites..
so please tell the legal procedure to form partnership firm and its registration moreover any other implications like service tax, other legal obligations...
Is it must to register firm compulsorily?

05 June 2011 To form partnership firm, a Deed of partnership on stamp paper is to be prepared, which may be registered with local Registrar of firms office alongwith other documents like Form A , Fees as applicable,
Compliance with Tax Laws is Must.
Registration of firm is not mandatory in India,
