17 April 2014 is it mandatory to get registration under service tax for any partnership firm weather he not provide any service to any person or firm ???

we have only trading activities.

17 April 2014 no it is not compulsory. however, you need to check whether you are required to pay service tax under reverse charge mechanism or not. if you are liable for payment of service tax under it, you shall have to register.
