Hi,
I have been allotted a PAN which has already been allotted to some other individual prior to me.
I came to know this when I saw Form 26AS.
Due to this i could not able to file the return from Last two years.
Kindly suggest me what can be done to overcome this issue.

First check the PAN details of PAN allotted to you from Income Tax Website. In case there is a mismatch Intimate immediately to income Tax Department through a letter along with copy of your PAN and a printout of PAN Details as per Income Tax website.

There is no mismatch but the case is that all the details like name, DOB and Father name are same for both the holders.

the PAN No. allotted to me is AUZPG9642F. on checking online Juridiction is coming as faridabad. on Form 26AS also it is showing the details of other person from faridabad. due to this the return is getting mismatched from 26AS and i could not able to file it.
