06 January 2014 I am filing my Return from last 12 years on the pan No. which nhas recieved me First. But My Pan is not Active as i checked it on the IT Website but some other PAN is Active of my Name So what I do now as from this year E-Return has to be filed and it is not possible to register with the Old Pan No. Which is showing Inactive. So Pl. guide me Can I register with Active PAN of mine and File the E-Return.

06 January 2014 yes you can do so. However, it is advisable to meet the AO and ensure that the inactive PAN is appropriately taken off-record/cancelled by the AO.
