If a public limited company is converted to private limited company, whether new PAN is to be applied or modification in current PAN will be sufficient.

To my view, as the status remains the same,

Public limited company converted in pvt ltd company, Status is company before and after converting.. hence there is no need to aply for new pan.

Status will be same , however correction of PAN required for change of name.

Change in Name of company to be correct in pan card. so correct in name to be applied.
