other courses along with CA

21 July 2010 I am Pratik Thakkar n I have registered myself with the ICAI for CPT examination of june 2011 attempt. I alongside also plan to finish my graduation course (T.Y.B.COM) and I am currently in the 12th standard. I wanted to ask if i can also appear for the foundation program (fp) of CS, the exam of which will also be held in june-2011. Please reply at ur earliest.

21 July 2010 Yes you can also register for CS as well. But remember it will be very difficult in future to prepare two courses simultaneously as in CA there will more of accounts and taxation where as in CS there will be more of corporate laws. But for june examination of CS foundation last date for registration is sep 30, 2010

21 July 2010 Yes you may join CS but you have to seek permission from ICAI through filing of form-112.

wait for other expert opinions.

Other courses includes IFRS, CPA, CFA, NCFM etc...

21 July 2010 ITS VALID, ICAI WILL GIVE PERMISSION FOR ONE PROFESSIONAL COURSE WITH CA, AND ITS BEST YOU TAKE CS IN DEC 2011 IT WILL BEST FOR YOU..YOU HAVE TO PREPARE FOR CPT AND CS TOO WILL BE A PROBLEM, IF YOU CAN MAKE IT THEN GO AHEAD...

21 July 2010 IT WILL NOT GET CLASH, CA WILL BE IN MAY AND NOV INTER AND FINAL..ONLY CPT WIL BE IN JUNE AND DEC..

CS WILL BE IN JUNE AND DEC.

21 July 2010 i made a call to the institute n they informed me that i can do CA and CS together but once when my articleship starts i will have to drop one of the courses... what should i prefer?? Please help me
