Notice u/s 143(1)

17 April 2014 Sir, I received a notice for arrear of demand asking to deposit rs.4000/- but as per TDs paid rs 18000/- in notice they show only 14000/-. but as per form 26AS it is showing 18000/- only. I personally visited IT office and they show me credit of only 14000/- only whereas Form 26As is showing correct fig of 18000/- generated from their own website. how it is possible. my employer is saying that he cannot file revised 24Q as it is not his mistake whereas department is advising to file revised 24q ..what to do ?? pl suggest

17 April 2014 well if Form 26AS is showing the correct credit, your employer is right in suggesting that it is not his mistake...officially file a rectification request for rectification in amendment in the 143(1) intimation.
