16 October 2015 I filed original return on time , but there was some income which I forgot to show , so I filed the revised return after a week . but now I received notice u/s 139(9) of that original return. so how I deal with that ? whether I should rectify my original return as per notice , or as there is no requirement because I revised my return already ?? Kindly suggest .

16 October 2015 Since you have DULY revised the return, no need to act as per 139(9). Inform this fact to CPC.

16 October 2015 You need to reply to the notice of defective return by stating that a revised return has been filed vide dated.....on coming to know the defect in it and revised return with the corection has been filed.

16 October 2015 If you forgot some income to show, thos will not lead to defective return. There must be some other facts that makes return defective. Check it out any reply to the notice.
Replying to notices are must otherwise it will create more problems

16 October 2015 thank you all for your reply , yes Mr. rahul there was other problems also apart from income which was not shown . So , as per your suggestions I should reply to the notice n submit it to the concern deptt rather then going for online procedure ...
