23 January 2014 Can anyone help me....i didnt file tax audit report of one of my client due to certain issues bt ITR 4 was filed mentioning my name as tax auditor..now i dont want to file Tax audit report....what are the consequences in case my name is mentioned in ITR 4 as tax auditor but no audit report has been filed from my ID

23 January 2014 It will be treated as violation of section 44AB and penalty will be attracted as report is not furnished before due date.

If you realize that the Tax audit is not required and your name is given by mistake then you can revise the Return.

It is covered by section 44 ab but on present date i dnt wana sign his audit report due to certain dicrepancies in his books but nw since my name has been entered so wat are d consequences i mean wat action can b taken against me by client or deptt and whether can i revise d return without my name in it ?
