02 December 2009 My query is whether a person who is a member of the subsidiary company as the nominee of the holding company has to file declaration under Section 187(C) of the Companies Act, 1956? Whether the declaration as to not holding beneficial interest in the shares applicable to the nominee member?

02 December 2009 please clarify on this.The nominee of the company has beneficial interest in the shares or not? As per my understanding, the company has the BI in the shares on whose behalf he is holding the shares.

08 December 2009 If the subsidiary company has issued shares in the name of the nominee for and on behalf of the holding company then the nominee has to file declaration under section 187C.
