New final course

I am undergoing final (old) course now ... pl advise me whether its favourable to switch to new ca final course.. also will there be major changes in the new syllabus

It is always advisable to do CA under new course as there are many changes.
1. Accounts paper has been redrafted with IFRS.
2. MAFA paper is redrafted as Strategic Financial Management.
3. Auditing and Law will see more practicals.
4. Cost Management will have balanced paper with theory and practicals.
5. MICS has been done away with Information Systems Audit is introduced.
6. Taxation papers are Laws by itself in the new syllabus thereby widening the scope. Its jitters are felt by the studewnts in this November 2007.
