Net profit under section 198

14 September 2012 Hi,

I have a query on the profit calculation under section 198 for the purpose of filing form 25A for appointment of M.D requiring C.G approval.

Our accounts dept is providing us the profit before tax shown under the Annual report for the purpose of filling data as profit under section 198.

However, I am not sure if it is this profit which is required under section 198. So can some one explain me the concept and also provide a formula with a reference where it is mentioned to calculate it differently.

Thanks. I think the format which is mailed to me is actually calculation of Networth. But what i am looking for is the calculation of Net Profit u/s. 198
