07 October 2010 Hi,

For LTA payment, employer is not bound to have proof of travel expenses and payment can be done based on employee declaration of expenses of travel.

On the same line, can employer do the same for medical reimbursement (Exempted upto Rs 15000 as per income tax)?

If yes, please provide the copy of notification or any other case law.

Thanks for the response however i have confirmed from some corporates, they are processing the medical based on the employee declaration.

If possible can we get the notification where it has mentioned that proof is required for the same.
