Maximum gap allowable between cpt clearance & course started

Please help freinds...
My brother has registered with ICAI this year. He wants to appear in CPT June 2012 attempt.. but also he is expecting good marks in XII results. May be he will get admission in Delhi Univ. & as u know delhi univ. does not allow to do Graduation & CA simultaneously. so we will prefer Garduation first than CA.
So frnds Pl. tell me that if he qualify this june attempt of CPT than after graduation of 3 years. can he appear for IPCC with this CPT score card or he will have to register with ICAI again & qualify CPT again...
Please help me...

Yes he can appear of ipcc with this cpt score passing now.
