15 July 2011 Respected Expert team,
i want to know how to calculate market value of MF ? If there is difference in Nav in a year what is meaning of difference?

15 July 2011 No of units of MF held
X
NAV per unit as on the date

15 July 2011 Market value is the re-purchase value of the Units of Mutual Fund by the Company and NAV is the book value of the units. The difference is due to the increase in the value of the assets of the company after payment of dividend NAV falls but market value may remain unchanged.
