a seller has made a mistake in calculation .he has charged a excess amount than what was actually charged . what step to be taken pls reply

You can adopt one of the following options:
1. Ask the seller to cancel the invoice and issue a new one.
2. You can yourself correct the same and make less payment.
3. If payment has already been made, then issue a debit note.
