Maintainance of Books of Accounts

This query is : Resolved

10 June 2010 I have a small doubt regarding maintainance of books of accounts u/s 44AA

If an assessee has two business and the income from each business is less than 1,20,000/- and the gross receipts of each business is less than 10,00,000/- whether he required to maintain books of accounts.

If no please give the reference of the case laws and related judgements on the above.

10 June 2010 Section 44AA is applicable on the person not on the business. So in case, there are two or more business of a single person, the total of all the business will be considered for section 44AA, 44AB, 44AF etc.
