10 May 2017 Dear Sir,

I am holding certain securities which i had got alloted into ipo in 1990 and earlier and certain shares which i had brought 5-7 years back but does not have any proof of acquisition such as date, rate etc please suggest me the way if i sold these any booked LTCG then how i can prove the Acquisition cost as purchased earlier for Exempt LTCG.

14 November 2017 if asked for by the Dept, you can make an affidavit to that effect and submit the same to Income Tax department.
In addition the income tax department may ask you to submit indemnity bond as well.
