Local Sales or Inter state sales

Dear All,

as per the contract with XYZ Ltd Bangalore., ABC LTD (Bangalore) delivered the goods to the customer of XYZ Ltd at Chennai and invoice sent to XYZ ltd. bangalore? whether this transaction amounts to local sales or interstate sales?

06 November 2009 I think it would be Local sale as Invoice is for selling at Bangalore and VAT is based on Invoice , even the goods delivered at other state.

06 November 2009 nature of sale is depend on invoice&U r invocing to a local customer.Thatzy it is local sale.

29 November 2009 Its depend on where your Client received your invoice.not on delivery of goods.

30 December 2009 Sale tax depends on movement of goods, if your material gone outside the state, it would be CST sale, where is the client it is immaterail.
