05 April 2014 Dear Experts my qsn is that we received debit note for goods return dated of invoice as on 1/9/13 and dr .note issued on 31/3/14. So how i should pass entries for that. can we claim tax credit.?

05 April 2014 after receiving the goods you can take credit of vat with in 180 days from date of invoice /debit note

05 April 2014 BUT I THINK ACCORIDING TO DVAT WE CAN CLAIM THE TAX CREDIT ONLY FOR SAME TAX PERIOD FOR WHICH INVOICE IS ISSUED. AND I THINK 180 DAYS APPLIES TO CST MATTER NOT FOR LOCAL SALE RETURN.
