please inform me how many ledgers to be created when we deal n VAT, & under whch head

Follwoing Ledger has to maintain under the VAt.
For Input - Input Vat ledger with different percentage name.
for output - output vat ledger with different percentage.
For Capital goods Input - Input vat with different tax .
all these ledger will be made under the duties and taxes under current liablilites.
or input can be under the head of current assets.
