17 January 2026 In general NO.

Labour bill from GST‑registered contractor (GST charged on invoice): No RCM; pay GST to contractor and claim ITC if eligible.

Labour bill from unregistered contractor: RCM generally not applicable now, unless your case matches a specific notified RCM service/specified recipient (e.g. some government-related or security/manpower cases).
