Dear Sir,
we have purchased machinery from Peenya, Bangalore to our factory located in Bommasandra, Bangalore. We would like to know if we are liable to pay entry tax on machinery for local purchase too . Is entry tax applicable for bangalore to bangalore purchase

Entry tax is applicable. But please refer Karnataka VAT notification FD 05 CET 2009 dt 03.06.09 Notn I, II & III wherein lot of exemption is prescribed for bringing machineries to the local area. If you are qualified in that, you need not pay the ET.
