20 April 2011 Can we convert a sole proprietorship Firm(which is registered in DVAT & having TIN No) into partnership firm & the old TIN No will be valid for partnership firm?

21 April 2011 Yes, you have to inform the DVAT Officer about the change in constitution alongwith a copy of the new partnership deed; TIN may remain in tact in the name of the Assessee firm whose changed constitution would get recorded with DVAT authority, subject to any other condition like getting fresh sureties to his satisfaction !
