22 July 2013 I am salaried person having liability to pay interest on housing loan. I want to know which ITR to be used to file Income tax return for the AY2013-14.

22 July 2013 if you are claiming exemption u/s 10:- like HRA, transport allowance more than 5000/- then filr ITR-2 otherwise ITR-1

22 July 2013 If I am using ITR - I, there to put the amnount of interest paid on housing loan (i think u/s 24). There is no raw or column for the same.

22 July 2013 int paid on housing loan is to be shown under income from house property....if this head has negative income then u need to file ITR-2 ONLY and not itr-1.

22 July 2013 if you have loss from only one property you can file ITR for interest of HP with a negative mark in the coloumn of income from house property

23 July 2013 The property is not let out property. It in the different city where I am live in. I am not getting any rental income from that property.
