hi,
one of my friend worked as a consultancy from 01/04/2012 to 31/08/2013 after he completely converted as a employee in the same company from 01/09/2012 to 31/03/2013 so Which ITR form is applicable to him.

ITR 4 needs to be filed since he has both Salary Income and Professional Income.

as he was consultant for some months of period and earned income he comes under the definition of professional.
He should file ITR-4 and disclose both income.
