25 March 2018 AY 2017-18 return cannot be filed after 31 march 2018. As simple as that..

25 March 2018 No penalty for late filing of IT return till 31 March 2018. Morever, you can't file return for A.Y. 2016-17 & 2017-18 after 31 March 2018.

26 March 2018 No more penalty If you are not file Your ITR for AY 16-17 and 17-18... In case any notice from ITD for NMS or any other then You must reply the Notice and Filr Your ITR...

13 May 2018 You can file the return by obtaining a condonation of delay order from the Commissioner. First file an application with the jurisdictional Commissioner of Income-Tax seeking condonation of delay in filing the return. the application should mention in detail the reasons for not filing the return within the due date. Once the condonation application is accepted by the Commissioner and an order condoning the delay is passed by the Commissioner, then you can file the income tax return online. A copy of the order is required to be attached on the e filing portal.
