10 March 2017 Dear sir,
what is the last date of filling ITR for FY 2015-16. Earlier rule was we can file end of 31st march following the assessment year. Is there any changes in this law. please refer me the circullar of it.

10 March 2017 For normal income tax return due dates are already over, you can still file the return for the assessment year 2016-17 on or before March 31st. after that still you can file with in 1 year from the end of assessment year u/s.139(4) as belated return

11 March 2017 I came to know that some changed made in this regard for FY 2015-16 31st march 2017 is last date in spite of 31st march 2018 (as earlier law). from next FY 2017-18 the last date of belated return will be 31st march in the same Assessment year.

12 March 2017 No changes. but the new section of 234F is introduced in the recent budget for levying late fee for delaying the return filling that if the return is filed by 31st December of relevant assessment year the late fee will be Rs.5000/- if beyond 31st December then Rs.10000
