14 July 2020 An individual is employed for the part of the year and he receives salary. He retires and for the other half of the year he receives pension.
In ITR 1 under nature of employment which category has to be chosen as a Pensioner or State govt??
Do we have to see the status as on 31.03.2020

14 July 2020 There are no two separate options in ITR 1 for showing 2 different salary income. You have to club both the income. So its better to select the employment status as on 31st March 2020 which is pensioner.

28 October 2021 No, being salary income also received for part of PY, go for 'State Government'
