My madam started freight forwarder business in December 2012. i have joint in her office recently and she is asking me to do IT return. so by for this, what all I have to do to return file, what are the step by step procedure for proprietor to return .kindly suggest me.

First prepare Profit and loss a/c of the business and Balance sheet and then visit www.incometaxindiaefilling.gov.in and then log in and file itr-4 and generate xml and the upload the xml and the acknowledgement which u will get post it to CPC,Banglore within 120 days of filling online itr-4.

If her turnover is in excess of Rs 1 cr, then tax audit shall also apply.
