My one of the Relative : want IT return he is retired pvt employee around monthly pension Rs. 1600/- P.M.
His age is 62 Years.
Kindly guide shall i return his return as Nil or it is compulsory to shown the pension amount as income of the year

Not necessary to file his Income Tax Return if this is the only Income.

He can file return voluntarily. No issues with that. File ITR1.
