I am from a construction company. We have a project at Madhya pradesh. Our head office is in Chennai, having common TAN number & depositing TDS in Chennai. Assessing office issued notice to open seperate TAN number at Madhya pradesh. Please tell any one whether the AO have the power to issue the notice.
