assessee it returns every year.department sec 148 notice issued in f.y.14-15. assessee notice reply filed.if department sec 143(2) notice issued.
Question:
1.sec 143(2) meaning in it act.

02 December 2021 After you file your ITR, the assessment process begins with scrutiny. In that case, notice is issued under the Income Tax Act Sec 143 (2). These discrepancies may be the over-reporting of losses or the under-reporting of income, causing the tax paid to be less than the assessed tax.
A notice u/s 143(2) mandates that you produce all supporting documents for the exemptions, deductions, relief, and allowances claimed in your ITR filing. All income sources will also need to be proven through documentary evidence.

02 December 2021 YES, NOW ALL THE SCRUTINY CASES ARE PROCESSED UNDER FACELESS SCHEMA.

Process of the Faceless Tax Assessment:
National e-Assessment Center will issue the notice
Receiving assessee will reply within 15 days
The center will assign an official for the case in Assessment Unit i. e. Regional Electronic Assessment Center .
NEAC will then communicate with assessee, verification unit and technical unit
They will send all unit information to NEAC
NEAC will collect all this information and send it to REAC
After examining all the information, REAC will prepare a draft assessment order
It will now be sent to NEAC
The assessee will be given a chance to defend his case and the fine will be charged.
