kindly give some information about how to provide identification code to assets of a company having number of plant at one place linked with each other, with example

You first divided the identification in different text. like, plant, cost centre , stage, deptt, etc.
give code to all of above, and than combind the all , and finally keep last 8 digit for sl no.
You can also creat sub no. of assets. for each assets.
