i'm Siddhnat Patil, I've a query about difference between IPCC and ATC.
is there any difference in both exams because when all syllabus is same as IPCC then why this ATC course is introduced when both are at same level. I'm going to register my name for ATC but want to know the difference when it's equivalent to IPCC.

ATC was introduced to allow students, who feel that they are not in position to becomes CA (for whatever reason behind there belief - be it failing in finals exams, marriage, etc etc), to have atleast some certification for the knowledge and experience they have gathered during the course of clearing the CA exams and period of articleship served. This is particularly important as earlier there was little or no recognition for people who did clear PCC?PE-II/IPCC but couldn't clear CA finals.
The difference, (though not in course content) is that you have to clear only group I to be eligible for ATC certificate unlike IPCC where both groups are to be cleared.
