16 June 2014 Hi,

I want to invest in:
1. Shriram
2. DHFL
3. HDFC

in senior citizen's fixed deposit schemes.

Please advise which one is the best, and will there be any TDS deducted.

TDS shall be deductible depending upon interest earned and submission of Form 15H

16 June 2014 i am a senior citizen, so if i submit form 15(H) along with my PAN details, i think TDS wont be deducted.

Say I have 5 lac with me.

So shall i invest in this way?

1. HDFC - 3
2. Shriram - 1
3. DHFL - 1

OR in what proportion would you suggest.

Sir, the proportion should depend your expectations. HDFC would offer you maximum safety on principal amount.

I would suggest that you can start with 3:1:1 ratio (same as you proposed) and later on shift the investments if you are not satisfied with any of the company.

You can check anywhere above if i specified as 5 years only. I told 5 or 5+ years.
