hi,
i am salaried person n want to file my itr.
i come under 30% tax slab.
I received Rs 8750 as intrest on my saving a/c
So can i get benefit under 80 TTA or should i pay tax on it

if u rec hra more then 5000 then u need to file itr2 else file itr1.
yes ur eligible for sec 80TTA deduction upto 10,000 income from int on savings a/c.

1)You are elgible to take 80TTA
2)Show Interest Rs.8750 in income from other sources
3)claim exemption in 80TTA for Rs.8750
So this interest will not effect your taxliability
