Interest shown in wrong head in TIS

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
A query was raised regarding savings bank (SB) interest from Central Bank of India being incorrectly displayed as deposit interest within the TIS system. The consensus is that it's acceptable to report this interest under 'SB interest' in your Income Tax Return (ITR) and claim the deduction under Section 80TTA. No rectification is necessary as the total income from other sources remains the same.

25 June 2022 Sir, I incurred an interest of Rs 5058 on saving bank account of central Bank of India.
This sb interest is being shown as deposit interest in TIS.
Do I need to request for rectification or show it as it is as income from other sources in deposit column as total of OS income remain same.

25 June 2022 Show it as SB interest no problem. No need for rectification.

25 June 2022 Yes, you can report it under SB interest in ITR and can claim the deduction u/s 80TTA.
