16 November 2009 I have submitted my return for AY 08-09 online with remark as Tax payable & afterwords i have paid tax. so now what disclosure i have to made in my current year's return while filling it online.

Please Reply it's Urgent.

16 November 2009 No need to make any declaration in current years returns.

You just submit the letter to ITO mentioning that tax payable for the AY 08-09 has been paid. Mention the details of challans & attached the copy of the same to the letter.

16 November 2009 Agree with expert Chetan as nothing to be done in current return.

But I would have preferred to submit a revise return for AY 08-09 with details of tax paid and interest if any due to delay payment of tax, to rectify the mistake of filing original return without paying tax before filing.

The reason for filling revised return is that there are some mistakes done while filling return of income. Non enter of Tax paid details is not an mistake in this case, as the tax was paid after filling the return of income.

As the information was not available at the time of filling of return of income, so it will not be considered as mistake for filling revised return.
