Income tax return filling under sec-44ad

04 June 2017 Hello Experts,
I have a query regarding income tax return filling. My Brother filled income tax return For F.Y. 2011-12, 2012-13 & 2013-14 under section 44AD. But he did not file file any return for F.Y. 2014-15 & 2015-16. Now he want to file income tax return for F.Y. 2015-16 & 2016-17. Please advice as how to file return for F.Y. 2015-16 & 2016-17. For F.Y. 2015-16 nil Return. Please advice.

04 June 2017 You can file return for F.Y.15-16 & 16-17 now also by login to incometaxindiaefiling website. There is option to e-file return online.

04 June 2017 Hello Rashmi, Thanx for your revert. But now he is eligible to file return under section 44AD? coz there is a clause with this section that if you will not file return under same section for next 4 assement year, you can not opt for the the benefit of 44AD for five consecutive years from the last f.y. for which you had filed the return.

04 June 2017 It is applicable from A.Y.2017-18. So for now you can file it under 44AD.
