28 December 2012 Dear Sir/Madam,

I was a Bank Employee in Financial year 2010-11, Bank had deducted TDS of Rs. 7000/- from my salary.

And i did not file any ITR for the A.Y. 2011-12 to till date for getting refund.

My query is :
1. Can i file ITR for the A.Y. 2011-12
2. Can i get TDS refund for the A.Y. 2011-12 from Income Tax Dept.

28 December 2012 You can file the return for AY 2011-12, before 31.03.2013.
Credit for taxes will be allowed to you provided the same is reflecting in Form No.26AS
If refund is due to you, you will receive it

28 December 2012 Thanks for the acknowledgement, its my own experience wherein refund is received in 3 months in last 2 years by filing online return and cases are there for refund is not received for more than 2 yrs for offline return filed.
